Caroliner Rainbow Open Wound Chorale - Rise Of The Common Woodpile
So on their mirrored old website, this is described as an LP but has the cover of the CD complete with the "packaged in manilla envelope with graphics and paint added". I have a theory that the copyright dates noted on the site are the real dates of the originals and then history kind of warped (because I'm not sure they thought this was gonna last long) and what you get on discogs on the earlier releases are the reissue dates. I'll never be able to prove it and to be honest there's probably only me that cares.
Anyway, the twelfth and final track on the vinyl (Victory Arm Fence) ends with a locked groove. On here, "Victory" is split into three tracks before the locked groove kicks in for another four tracks (sounds shit but it's quite hypnotic). When you lay out the titles of the six "bonus" tracks it reads: "Hey, The Twelve Songs Are Spread Over 18 Tracks Without Much Consideration For Archiving As Mp3's".
Thank heaven for the lunatics, am I right?

Thanks for all these!
This Caroliner campaign has been a seriously heroic effort. Thanks a billion.
Thanks so much for all of the Caroliner madness. I discovered them @ Amoeba Records, Berkeley, and from there the Subterranean catalog. When I called to put in an order I was told basically nothing from their catalog was available, but that someone dropped by periodically to drop off records, so slowly I accumulated what they had. Wonderful to hear it all again. Thanks!
And Dolor Del Estamago, someone would sell tons of various titles to Amoeba Records San Francisco once or twice a year. Old mexican folk, live oddities from unlisted bands. You never knew what they would record.
Thank you so much for the live material. I like how they're almost universally "untitled tracklists" thanks to the nature of Caroliner.
three cheers for all this caroliner
legend!
"And Dolor Del Estamago, someone would sell tons of various titles to Amoeba Records San Francisco once or twice a year." Grux lives in San Francisco and is responsible for some of Dolor Del Estomago, so it was probably him.
