John Fahey - Blind Joe Death

This is an utterly sublime LP from one of the greatest guitarists.

This was originally released on his own Takomo label in 1959 and has had periodic re-releases since then with different track lists. I reckon that this is the 1964 version.

On the A Side you get reworkings of traditional songs and country blues and the B Side is all of John's original work. It is a joyous event and will make you smile for a long time!

The post below is so obviously a doff of the hat to Mr Fahey (who died in 2001). It took a comment below to make me realise that I actually knew that to be the case. Anyway, just embrace this record!

It's a long time since I've listened to this, and I've now also just got Loren Mazzacane Connors and Christina Carter ~ Meditations On The Ascension Of Blind Joe Death Vol. One, so time to do a back-to-back perhaps? Thanks very much.
