Culver & George Proctor‎ - Collaboration

Spiral left a comment on the post of the Culver cdr on Beartown Records suggesting that it had hit a pleasure spot and wanted some reposts.

That's the kind of engagement that influences!

How about some new posts?

CDr of Lee with George on the latter's Turgid Animal from 2007 (you also need to check the label site...there's some wonderful new things there that will disappear soon!).

O/W‎ - Grux

O/W is Andy Ortmann and John Wiese. This is a single sided lp from Rococo Records in 2007. The packaging was heavy steel plate. Lovely.

The casual observer will know John Wiese. Andy Ortmann also makes beautiful music as well as running the very very very great Nihilist label.

Nihilist Assault Group‎ - Nihilist Assault Group

C20 on Gnarled Forest from 2009.

This is one of my favourite things that I bought from GF.

Mark Durgan (aka Putrefier), Michael Gillham (member of many memorable outfits in the past and current member of Smell & Quim and Drunk In Hell), Richard Rupenus (from The New Blockaders), with Stan Reed and Wm. Rage (from the mighty Blue Sabbath Black Cheer).

The only downside is that it's a mere 20 minutes long......

This is a C60 released on Drahtfunk-Products in 1994.

C.C.C.C.‎ - Reflexive Universe

This is a single sided tape released on Vanilla Records in 1991. Discogs has it listed as having two tracks. It doesn't...it's a single 24 minute live preformance at MAYA in Kobe on 15/09/91. I know that is true because this is a rip straight from the tape.

Astro, Jazkamer, Hair Stylistics‎ - Motorcycle Fuck With The Ghost Rider

The same person requested this to be resurrected.

Hiroshi Hasegawa, Lasse Marhaug, John Hegre and Masaya Nakahara during a live event at Earthdom, Tokyo on the 3rd of March, 2007.

This was released on aRCHIVE in 2007.

The label was one of the finest things out there...the packaging was always beautiful. Then one day I checked in and they were gone. Does anybody know what happened? It's still a sad loss!

The Hototogisu - Seattle 8.16.06

Sometimes I get disillusioned with this blogging lark.

I look at some blogs out there and sometimes think that I am watching some kind of arms race...who can post the new release...or bonus points for leaked releases that haven't hit the "shops" yet...

I don't judge such things...people make choices...and that is the end of that as far as I am concerned.

It is these things that keep me motivated:

If The Hototogisu are new to you...they were Marcia Bassett (who's material as ZaĂŻmph is extraordinary but she was also a core member of Double Leopards and recorded as GHQ with Pete Nolan and Steve Gunn and with Tom Carter as Zaika and believe me there are more...) and Matthew Bower (Pure, Total, Skullflower, etc.).

This is a cdr from 2006 that brings together two live sets. It was self-released in an edition of 20.

Almost nobody ever got to touch this...

Lasse Marhaug / John Wiese‎ - Country And Western

I've been neglecting the blog for a while. I've been ploughing through the boxes of tapes that have gathered over the past couple or three years. It's a lot of fun to be honest. But...a C90 tape takes an hour and a half to rip...what's that all about?

Anyway...

What happens when your favourite people get together?

Werewolf Jerusalem‎ - Static Studies

Anyway...

Whilst wandering through my boxes of neglected music, I found this. I'd nearly forgotten that I had it! It's a double cdr released on Italian label Second Sleep in 2007.

I travelled most of the length of the country and spent a load of money just to see Richard Ramirez perform a half hour WJ set. Well worth it!

This does exactly what it says on the tin!!!
