Michael Johnsen - Live Electronic Sound Made By the Tuning & Spatial Manipulation of Two Closely Spaced Portable AM Radios Having Loopstick Antennae, the Resulting Signal Undergoing Mild Output Processing, Primarily Filtering & Gating

The title says it all, doesn't it? Pittsburgh's Michael Johnsen makes unstable music that reminds me of Lionel Marchetti, Jerome Noetinger, Jessica Rylan, Gert-Jan Prins, Nautical Almanac, all those artists who stradle the (imaginary) lines between free improvisation and gritty electronic noise. There's something personal and intimate about this spacious bleep, something inviting and warm. "Live Electronic Sound..." was self-released as a 3"CDr in 2007.
