Boredoms – Super Go!!!!! → Shine In ◯ Shine On

 

My favorite Boredoms is not one of their albums, but this Japan-only CD single, released to coincide with their "Super Ae" album. The main track is 17.5 hallucinatory minutes of thundering percussion ecstasy with repetitive bass and chanting voices smeared with insane dub effects. Imagine Gibby Haynes fronting Stereolab and maybe that'll get you partially there.

I love the Vision Creation (and Vision Recreation) stuff. "Gibby Haynes fronting Stereolab" sounds amazeballs. Do people still say amazeballs? I'm bringing amazeballs back, like Justin Timberlake.

Thanks! I know I'm in the minority here, but I always preferred this stuff to their earlier material. I dunno, it just seemed to me that a lot of their peers did the noisier stuff way better.
