Les Rallizes Dénudés ‎- France Demo

I was asked whether I had a Dénudés artifact called France Demo.

I actually have two. One is a four track without titles and the other is a 3 track with titles. They are completely seperate things. I have no provenance for these. Take them as you find them.

Sacher-Pelz‎ - Mutation For A Continuity

This is a four CD set on Marquis Records from 2001. It brings together four cassettes that were released between 1979 and 1980.

Well to say that they were "released" is a gross exaggeration. They were created and given to friends. Thank you Marquis Records!

Sacher-Pelz‎ is the starting point for Maurizio Bianchi. He is, of course, a legendary figure within European (and world) experimental music.

Now I'm thinking about it...the term "experimental music" kind of winds me up...experiments have an implicit hypothetico-deductive error factor. It is not an experiment, it the expansion of art...the refusal of boundaries. Experimental is the term given by people who struggle to understand. The term "experimental" is the cosy little pigeonhole that such people create so they have a non-threatening space that they can "place" things into...and then ignore...but pull out now and again on a namecheck to prove how "hip" they are. Yeah brother! I need a lie down...

It's Maurizio Bianchi. In case you need to know more...this is from discogs (saves me time so that I can upload the next lovely things):

"Before starting the complex and compelling production of many records and tapes in the early eighties under the M.B. trademark, Maurizio Bianchi was documenting the new music scene writing essays and reviews for independent magazines. It was August 1979 in Milan, Italy and his sound was strengthening when he felt the time had come to prove his desire for something new. So he started his first solo project, under the name Sacher-Pelz. He assembled a concrete equipment -- the endurance of M.B. had started. During the following few months four C60 magnetic tapes were created 'Cainus' (August/September 1979), 'Venus' (October/November 1979), 'Cease to Exist' (December 1979/January 1980) and 'Velours' (February/March 1980), a couple of copies for friends, never getting an official distribution. Surely a very private moment but still the first and only production at that time in Italy to go beyond the TG movement, the direct reference."

"Pure art for crime people"

Disc 2 - Venus

Disc 3 - Cease To Exist

Les Rallizes Dénudés - Mizutani 2 With Association Love Songs

Ages ago, I was going to post a load of LRD until J pointed out that it had been largely done elsewhere. Somebody gave me this recently ... and it was news to me! I'm a bit of a Dénudés obsessive so kind of assumed that I would have seen this out there. Haven't bothered checking but figured that if I didn't have it, then maybe one of you might not as well.

This is a 3CD release from 2007 on the mysterious grey label Univive. If the blurb is to be believed, this is: "A compilation containing, with improved sound, some material previously released on UNIVIVE-002 [Laid Down '76] and UNIVIVE-006 [One More Night Tripper] (including the bonus 'Mizutani 2')."

If this outfit are new to you, you might want to read this.

2 - Live In 13 Dec, 1980

Zelphabet - Volume H

Zelphabet is a brilliantly conceived label/series from GX Jupitter-Larsen (Haters). It brings together noise artists for each letter of the alphabet.

Check out the beauty on offer here or email gx@zelphabet.com with any questions.

On this one you get: a live TNB tribute from Halalchemists (Dean Glaister and Pete Burn of R.Y.N. and Goathanger, Lee Stokoe of Culver and Michael Gillham of Smell & Quim, Snotnosed and Nihilist Assault Group amongst many others); 28 minutes of Hanatarash; a suitably discrete 10 second blast of The Haters; and a 25 minute opus from Howard Stelzer who runs Intransitive Recordings. Yep, quality!

This is also my way of saying that the Hanatarash post is back up (apart from the video...which I'll do tonight).

All together now: "This is how it feels to be City, this is how it feels to be small. You bought Phil Jones, we bought Kun Agüero. Kun Agüero. Kun Agüero

The 13th of May 2012

I haven't been around for a while. This is why!

There are very few things that have my eternal love and affection. In fact, there are four things that I can not imagine living without. My partner. My cats. My music. My football team. Don't ask me to rank order these...the first three might be upset with the result.

I don't imagine for one second that you care or are even reading this...but it's my time.

I am Mancunian. I grew up in a household full of the great satan. I was always a Blue. I have spent three decades watching my team (literally, paying at the turnstile, travelling all over my country ... following my team). During that time, there have been crushing lows and the occasional high point. The constant piss taking by armchair glory hunting followers of the great satan. I never flinched. You are either loyal or you are not. I am.

I was there. I'm actually in the picture that is above these words.

"Normal" service will be resumed soon...but in the meantime...

Black Leather Jesus - Smacked Red

This CDr was released on the Austrian Steinklang Industries label in 2010. Go and visit them, see if this is still available, have a look what else there is, spend more than you can afford, tell the bailiffs it's my fault.

On this occasion, the ever revolving BLJ line up is Mr. Ramirez, (fellow Texan and long-term collaborater) Sean Matzus, Vance Osborne (what is it with Texas? ... who records with Sean as the great In The Land Of Archers), Kevin Novak (erm...yeah Texas...long-term BLJ bloke) and Scott Houston (who comes from Housten...yeah, that's in Texas).

Why has the land of the Butthole Surfers got the rep of being such a redneck state? Texas really is the home of subversive!

Flea Market / 1958 (bonus disc)

For the first time in the blog's (so-called) history, somebody stepped up and said "yeah, I've got that...here it is"

And Lo! From this moment forward, let him be called THE STONE COLD CERTIFIABLE GENIUS ™

Obviously, this is the bonus cdr that came with the initial 25 copies of the title release posted below.

As is the same for both discs...

Wilt: tapes, elektroniks, samples, found objects.

Bargain Basement / Wilt - Flea Market / 1958

This cdr was released on Solipsism in 2002. It came in an edition of 100. The first 25 copies came with a bonus cdr which, I am gutted to say, I don't have.

Technically, this means that I am missing seven and a half Wilt releases.

Oh, by the way, all of the 40 Wilt releases that I posted over a year ago have now been re-upped!

MCA R.I.P.

Adam Nathaniel Yauch died today.

Devastated.

In 2009, they found a cancerous tumour in his left salivary gland. It was removed. It was the signal of bad times ahead.

I dismissed the Beastie Boys as a bit of a joke act in the very beginning. Paul's Boutique changed all of that! I own almost every single release and have seen them live many times...always a very special occasion!

My heart goes out to his family and Adam and Mike.

Today stinks!
