va - ND 7

Oldsters like me will remember ND as one of the only sources for information about the noise underground in the days before the internet. Based in Texas (as you can tell from the cover of "N D 7"), ND was a magazine and label affiliated with a record shop in Austin. At the start, they made split cassettes that came inside little magazines. Then, they made magazines full of interviews and loads of contact information so that you could write away for catalogs and tapes. Eventually, they made CDs. "N D 7" was the seventh issue of ND, and it's a compilation cassette. A who's who of who-the-hell-are-these-people. Some names you'll recognize: Minoy, Die Form, Big City Orchestra, X-Ray Pop, The Haters, If Bwana, The Joke Project, Odal, Ideas Beyond Filth. Others are just as obscure in 2019 as they were in 1992: Booed Usic (actually tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE from balTimOre), Vittore Baroni (of Trax), K.U.Sch, Theater of Ice, and others.
