Loren Mazzacane Connors & Christina Carter - Meditations On The Ascension Of Blind Joe Death Vol. One

Mr Connors is a cornerstone of the American "avant-garde". Christina is responsible for some of the greatest music I've heard, either on a solo basis or as a member of Charalambides or Scorces. If I was musically literate, I could describe this very well. Seeing as I am not, I suppose you will just have to listen to it and make your own mind up ...

This is an LP released on Ecstatic Yod (a meeting of minds between Thurston Moore's Ecstatic Peace and Byron Coley's Father Yod) in 2005.

I've got solo stuff by both of these and the original cd issue of Fahey's original (something I wish I played more than I actually do) so this will be a good reminder of what I should be listening to (mind you, Atomic Rooster's Death Walks Behind You sounded pretty good on today's commute... John du Cann is one of the great "lost" guitarists)... thanks very much...

SHIT. You've just reminded me that I am an idiot! Of course it is about John Fahey. Now that you have said it, it is glaringly obvious. I have a rip of the original and all of the variations .... shamefaced!
