To mark another inauspicious day in Badgerstump Towers, I thought I'd post the greatest 12" ever created. It's remarkable to think that this was released 34 years ago.
The Bad Seed
They say it's better to give than to receive (although that clearly depends on what's on offer) so I thought I'd throw in some things that I posted in 2010ish:
Kousokuya and the
Live At Shinjuku JAM dvd; the
Kawabata Makoto post (and I've added the
Pulsating Electric Force cdr that was the fifth installment in the Private Sound Drawing series);
YBO²;
Vajra and
Hanatarash.
This is a bit popular for you isn't it?....but i've been straining my brain to think of a greater 12"-er...and you know what you're right!
ReplyDeleteShitloads of thanks!
ReplyDeleteThank you SO muchfor the re-posts. So very wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice memory of Rowland S.Howard for me. As great and celebrated a guitarist as he was, he was most certainly an underrated vocalist...
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, thank you for all the re-ups. Truly amazing!
thanks for the re_uploads!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Hanatarash re-ups mate!
ReplyDeletewoweeeeemany thanxxx
ReplyDelete@Badgerstump & Jonny Zchivago:
ReplyDeleteBold statement that. I lean toward Adam & the Ants' "Stand & Deliver" for the 12" honors though I recognize the merit in your collective choice. Hearty thanks for the post(s) to your both.
Thank you VERY much!
ReplyDelete@ kingpossum
ReplyDeletecall yourself Lord Of The Marsupials? Koalas everywhere are hanging their heads in shame!
Ha! Oh-e-oh-e-oh-oh-oh.
ReplyDeleteClearly, ridicule is nothing to be scared of!
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Being highly individualistic and misunderstood beasts, we soldier on, non-plussed.
ReplyDeleteOh-e-oh-e-oh-oh-oh.
Wow! Late to the party as usual... these re-UPs are stunning. Thank you. My heart skips beats thinking of all the Haino & CCCC related stuff I am completely unaware of. School sesh is open. Its also shocking, funny, strange to hear the bad seeds as a best album to some. For me, being younger, I hear John Spencer, Marching Church, & other artists that clearly borrowed influence from BP.Thank you kindly again :)
ReplyDeleteAdam Ant can wear the hell out of a hat. That's true.
