Jooklo Duo meets Thurston Moore & Dylan Nyoukis - Untitled

CDr released on Dylan's Chocolate Monk this year in an edition of 75. Instantly sold out, of course! Anyway:

"Finally got our mits on the desk recording of this smoked out gig of stumbling, wailing and plonking, Vanzan's hands busted and broken from previous nights thunder drags out his recently salvaged piano and is joined by saxaphone, guitar, tapes, voice and objects. Quartet gets down and mysterious, sweaty bodies shut out thought, hammer a nail into the crowds collective id, upwards disappearing."

... and you can't say fairer than that ...

Genius

  2. Haven't been able to download the last two items posted. My antivirus is apparently blocking them, giving me the message that there "may" be a virus in the file, but I've been downloading items without a problem for some time, now. Any suggestions?

  4. @anonymus: it is probably a false alarm from firefox.

solutions: turn out the firefox-safety check under about:preferences#security
    or
    use google chrome
    or
unzip the .zip.part in your download file (works with 7z)

  5. hhhmmm ... i think you've nailed it!

i use firefox ... a few days ago, i was downloading some of Mrs Inside's upcoming posts and started to get .zip.part ... i downloaded this post and got the same "may contain" warning once it had downloaded fine and it also extracted fine. i've scanned the arse off my computer ... on malwarebytes, it showed a load of PUPs and PUMs. i quarenteened the lot and it removed firefox's restore last session option etc. then i tried downloading the file again and it showed "may contain" but didn't download it as a zip.part and it was blocked.

i downloaded the same file here using chrome and it downloaded absolutely fine as a normal .zip with no warnings.

problem with a recent firefox update? doubt it. microsoft / google attack on a competitor? probably.

anyway, i'm confused and have spent three hours on this and need to go and eat some food ...

  6. At the moment i have this problems only with zippyshare files. Sometimes ago i had it with megacache. No problems with mediafire or google drive.
i scanned the zip.part with superantispyware, antivir and spyware terminator and there was no malware. So i'm pretty sure its false alarm.

  7. Now that I think about it, there was in fact a recent Firefox update. But I'll try what has been suggested here and see what happens.

  8. I've tried a few other things. The files also download without an issue using IE as well as Chrome.

The files are clean as a whistle. There seems to be some issue with the interface between zippy and firefox. Works fine with other browsers and I don't have an issue with other filehosts no matter what browser I use.

Strange and I'm not sure what is going on yet ...

  9. I'll jump in and reaffirm that Herr Stump and I upload clean files. No funny business over here, only noise nerdery. I use Chrome and Safari, both without incident.

  10. Sure enough, the files download without trouble using Chrome, so it must be a Firefox problem, and it almost certainly has something to do with that recent update, because I had had no problems with it before.
