Rauhan Orkesteri
Free jazz quartet hailing from Finland comprising Antti Tolvi (who has played with Päivänsäde), Jaakko Tolvi (who has recorded as Lauhkeat Lampaat with Antti), Tero Kemppainen (who has recorded with the Jooklo Quartet and the Jooklo Finnish Quartet) and Ville Jolanki. The Cream of the Finnish Jazz Scene!
I'm not aware of any recent recorded output but they are certainly still playing on the Northern European festival circuit.

Various - LAFMS: The Lowest Form Of Music (Artist Edition)
LAFMS is the Los Angeles Free Music Society. This is taken directly from wiki (with no apologies...there is plenty of info out there on this legendary way of viewing the world...go find it):
"The Los Angeles Free Music Society (LAFMS) has been, since the early 1970s, the banner heading of a loose collective of experimental musicians in Los Angeles, California who were joined by an aesthetic based around radicalism and playfulness. Key players have included Joe Potts, Tom Recchion, Joseph Hammer, John Duncan, Dennis Duck, Juan Gomez, Kevin Laffey, Chip Chapman, Fredrik Nilsen, Jerry Bishop, Ace Farren Ford, Ju Suk Reet Meate, and Rick Potts.
Notable band configurations have included Le Forte Four, Smegma (who relocated to Portland, OR in the late 1970s), Solid Eye, Airway, Monique Experience, Foundation Boo, Extended Organ, and The Doo-Dooettes. Their influence is seen most immediately in other Pacific-coast "isolationist" experimentalists like Caroliner Rainbow, Sun City Girls, and The Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, as well as Japanese noise projects like Hanatarash, Hijokaidan, and Incapacitants."
Released in 1996 as a ten disc joint release on Gary Todd's Cortical Foundation and Ron Lessard's RRRecords. This is the "Artist Edition" which contains the eleventh disc.
"The music is free, but you have to pay for the plastic, paper, ink, glue and stamps"

Peiiste - Recycled
Peiiste is the work of Joseph Gates and Ulula. This incarnation was previously called Peiste. To be honest, I'm not sure of the significance of the extra "i".
Anyway, Joseph has done the most wonderful thing! Check his bandcamp page where he has put up 8 Peiiste releases for free download...including the epic 6xc60+ "Orm" release.
If you go to the Human Ignorance site there are links to some of his work under other names. Cheers Joseph!
This C54 forms part of the Recycled Music series of tapes on RRRecords. The label is run by Ron Lessard (aka Emil Beaulieau) who is one of the pioneers of American noise. These handmade tapes are very cheap to buy and prolifically released. I tried to catalogue them a couple of years ago and gave up at about 150 artists. I have dozens and dozens of them...it's always worth diving in and picking a few up!

Vargrwulf - Walls II
This C80 was released in 2010 on Joseph's Violent Revolution International.
Effectively it is one long HNW trancefest.
Walls II
Vargrwulf - Roman Candle
Vargrwulf is the Harsh Noise Wall project of Joseph Gates.
This C46 was released on his own Human Ignorance label in 2010.

Jon Lord
When I was a kid it was all about Sabbath, Zep and Deep Purple.
For me, Jon's keyboards were as full on as Bill and Geezer's rhythm section. It was all about the Hammond organ.
He died today.
Hair Stylistics - Transparent Grave
Hair Stylistics is the work of Masaya Nakahara. He used to record as Violent Onsen Geisha.
Generally speaking, I am always approximately 6,000 miles away from him. Legally, it's for the best. If I was any closer I'd probably stalk him just to touch the hem of his garment. True Genius!

Keith Fullerton Whitman - Hallicrafters, Inc
C36 from 2009 on Rare Youth.
Less breakcore...more glitch noise (?).
Whilst I'm here, I have to mention that KFW is one half of the stunning Mimaroglu Music Sales. It covers over 5000 artists and 950 labels. It's updated all of the time...if it's up there, it's for sale.
"... since october 2001, mimaroglu music sales has provided the discerning listener direct access to thousands of hard-to-find recordings of classic & contemporary experimental & electronic music, including analogue synthesizer music, computer music, electro-acoustic composition & improvisation, field recordings, free jazz, harsh noise, minimalism & modern composition, psychedelia, sound art & sound-poetry, and other assorted/related genres ... within these pages, you'll find listings for everything from mass-market vinyl & compact disc releases to private-edition cd-rs & cassettes & the occasional gallery-issue / artists multiple, as well as our own in-house productions ..."

Quickie Butcher
Hrvatski - Irrevocably Overdriven Break Freakout Megamix
Hrvatski is Keith Fullerton Whitman's brilliant breakcore vehicle.
Think DrumCunt or (live) DJ Scotch Egg as a reference point but it's all about the KFW.
This is a 2005 CD released on Keith's short-lived Entschuldigen label and captures a 2004 gig in San Francisco.
Freakout
Speculum Kaidan - Speculum Kaidan
Speculum Kaidan is Speculum Fight and Hijokaidan. Yeah, I know.
CD from 1998 that was jointly released on Damion's own P-Tapes and Michael Sheppard's Transparency labels.
Speculum Kaidan
MSBR + Speculum Fight + AMK - Damkbr
C36 on Banned Production from 1999. Banned Production is a seminal noise/"experimental" label from the U.S. that is run by AMK (who is also a member of Big City Orchestra). It is still very much in operation and you should check it out!
M.S.B.R. was Koji Tano's epic Molten Salt Breeder Reactor whilst Speculum Fight used to be the alias of Damion Romero.
Classic!

Les Rallizes Dénudes - Neu Products Era
As usual...there is always a rather dubious provenance to LRD boxsets...
Undoubtedly, this is no different. Can't remember ever seeing this posted...as always, it's up to you.

Lemon Kittens - We Buy A Hammer For Daddy
Apparently, I listen to strange music (judging by the looks on the faces of those close to me when I try to play it to them). Even by my standards...this is STRANGE!
In the early '80s, a good friend lent me his copy of the vinyl and it completely messed with my head. I had no idea that such ideas existed...obviously they did and it changed they way that I viewed the world. Alongside The Fall, The Birthday Party, Psychic TV and Crass...Lemon Kittens provided my soundtrack for quite a while.
Lemon Kittens were Karl Blake (who went on to record as the excellent Shock Headed Peters) and Danielle Dax (who made a more mainstream career from the mid-late '80s as a bit of a "Goth Sex Kitten" as I remember her repulsively described).
This was the second release on (founder member of Nurse With Wound) John Fothergill's visionary United Dairies label in 1980. This was re-released on Danielle's Biter Of Thorpe label in 1993. I own both formats. There is a sort-of review here so don't say I didn't warn you.
