Known for many roles but the relatively brief performance in my favourite film? In Blue Velvet you have David Lynch directing the deeply disturbing character Frank played by Dennis Hopper ... so Dean only gets approximately the twenty first weirdest scene.
Once seen, never forgotten.

While Twin Peaks was his pinnacle acting gig, the role he played in the 1996 adaptation of the Stephen King work The Langoliers was super good plus and there's also a TV film he did when he was very young about a killer computer and his introduction to this series of US deep politics/conspiracy documentaries called American Midnight I think was pretty cool and.... Oh shut up.
