Kangaroo Kourt - Interstellar Static from the Kangaroo Kourt

The classic 1987 debut LP by Kangaroo Kourt, an obscure Nurse With Wound/Mixed Band Philanthropist-worshipping US duo whose meager recorded legacy over a few short years will be posted here in its entirety. The band made some hyperactive tape collage, some bowed metal scrape with flashes of goth-y ethereal mellotron drone that gradually overtook the band until they renamed themselves Mauve Sideshow.

    Speaking of which, any chance you could post the mixed band philanthropist lp? Definitely a great reference point for stuff like this, which btw thanks a million for the kangaroo kourt stuff. ..totally vital and doesn't get the respect it's due.

    I am pretty sure that Kangaroo Kourt was pretty much solo sound sculpture by Lee Blair (a.k.a. "Dusty Lee"). Mauve Sideshow was Lee's project with Treva after Kangaroo Kourt. I bought a copy of this record from Lee before he had met Treva...
