The 13th of May 2012
I haven't been around for a while. This is why!
There are very few things that have my eternal love and affection. In fact, there are four things that I can not imagine living without. My partner. My cats. My music. My football team. Don't ask me to rank order these...the first three might be upset with the result.
I don't imagine for one second that you care or are even reading this...but it's my time.
I am Mancunian. I grew up in a household full of the great satan. I was always a Blue. I have spent three decades watching my team (literally, paying at the turnstile, travelling all over my country ... following my team). During that time, there have been crushing lows and the occasional high point. The constant piss taking by armchair glory hunting followers of the great satan. I never flinched. You are either loyal or you are not. I am.
I was there. I'm actually in the picture that is above these words.
"Normal" service will be resumed soon...but in the meantime...
Chuffed to bits for you. I went to school in Manchester from '81-'87 and not once did I befriend a United fan. Last Sunday was pretty much the most exciting day of football I can remember. (I'm not a City fan - won't tell you my allegiance but I hope we knock Spurs out of the Champions League tomorrow.)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeletein 2008 i count on Man.City in game vs Man.United and City won 2:1. Never like Man.United. Football is GREAT GAME. Football is extremal art.
Congratulations!

ReplyDeleteHungbunny: I hate Spurs...never forgiven them for 1981! Might see you at Villa Park in August ;-)
Ivangov: Football is indeed extreme art. Sunday was very Salvador Dali lol
