Kawabata Makoto

...or Makoto Kawabata. I've recently seen all of this OOP stuff for sale for unbelievably high prices. So, I decided to post.

The Private Tapes series was designed to be sold on tour and generally consist of his private musings or extremely rare live recordings of the groups that he has been involved with. "Yesterday Was Your Birthday, Baby" was released as a bonus disc when Acid Mothers Temple released Private Tapes 1-7 as a tour edition (of 30!). Each of those sets was autographed and sold during the Acid Mothers Temple "Magical Ministry Tour" in 2002.

The Early Works box set was released in 2000 in a limited edition of 100 copies, as part of the Acid Mothers Temple Private Disc Series. They were originally released between 1980 and 1983 on Kawabata's independent cassette label, R.E.P. (Revolutionary Extrication Project).

The Private Sound Drawing Series was again released as part of Acid Mothers Temple's Private Disc Series. Tour editions of (perhaps) 200.

  6. I know it's a pain to get requests for re-ups from people too slow witted to download the first time round ... but this is such a drool provoking post, I just had to ask ...!

  7. Hi Nathan

It's not your fault that you weren't looking six years ago ... I'm not sure when it will happen but I'll add this to the next re-up post.

I've since acquired the Pulsating Electric Force cdr from the Private Sound Drawing series so there will be at least one new thing there when it happens.

  12. Thanks very much for re-uploading all this Kawabata stuff - really pleased to be able to listen to it. In a moment of breath-taking ingratitude, can I also request a re-upload for the Jooklo stuff. Yes, I know, what a cheeky w-----. But, in any case, thanks for this very much: private tapes at last!

Good idea tho, don't have a re-up planned yet but I'll try and remember next time the impulse grabs me ....
