Early HNIA is just awesome (Livonia, Home Is In Your Head, and the How Ghosts Affect Relationships EP). It's a pity they released mainly missable material after an astonishing start, though.Jakob von Guntenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05382306592299779346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4071195431965808276.post-79139685016012017572014-04-14T16:56:09.026+01:002014-04-14T16:56:09.026+01:00No, The Full Pack has parts that are similar to pa...No, The Full Pack has parts that are similar to parts of Livonia. I suppose I mention Always Is Always because of the way that it set me up when I first heard Dreams Less Sweet (and it still gets me every time I listen to that LP). It's beautiful. Just when you feel that there is some respite ... the door opens to what is really going on. The Manson Family connection nails the truly sinister aspect.

There are parts of this LP that do the same thing for me. Just when it is at its most beautiful, it takes a swerve and its all been false reassurance.

I suppose it is all about my emotional reaction. But that is what all great music should be about!badgerstumphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05751306209153246406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4071195431965808276.post-35591547409378324412014-04-14T15:31:28.209+01:002014-04-14T15:31:28.209+01:00When you mention "Dreams Less Sweet", ar...When you mention "Dreams Less Sweet", are you referring to the track "The Full Pack"?? One of the only works of music I consider terrifying every time I hear it. I recall downloading a cover of "How Ghosts Affect Relationships" by a violinist from MP3.com, when that still existed and didn't suck. I also recall trying to track this band down and hearing some material that just didn't measure up to this album, unfortunately. But I do know they had another album just as good (had a song called "Are You Coming Home For The Weekend?" or something like that). Thanks for uploading this and for the memories.

(One slight grumble - maybe ripped a bit too loudly? There's a noticeable distortion on some of the higher notes).Andrew McIntoshnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4071195431965808276.post-91632715214226731712014-04-12T11:06:07.188+01:002014-04-12T11:06:07.188+01:00If you like this, I suggest you to try also Skinne...If you like this, I suggest you to try also Skinner Box.
Thank you.
CarloCarlonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4071195431965808276.post-86499410336699302982014-04-11T08:01:43.588+01:002014-04-11T08:01:43.588+01:00Amazing.
