Lee Scratch Perry - Arkology

In 1997, I had an unlikely peek into one of the those soul death tedium emporiums on Market Street. It was a singular, and thus far unrepeated, moment of "fuck me, I'm glad I came in here". Unbeknownst to me, it had just come out and at £24.99 it was expensive at the time. Of course, it was utterly irresistable. This is one of my favourite things and how I'll remember Jamaica's Sun Ra best of all. As an artist but also as the producer within the Black Ark creating the deepest versions ever heard with a huge smile on his face. Oh yeah, and the line-up on here that Scratch worked with is literally extraordinary.

A lossless rip of the Trojan Records triple disc from 1997.

I agree, this collection is just ridiculously good. Why the lack of comments?
