Fela And Afrika 70 - Zombie

This post is a result of a small dialogue in the post below. There is no criticism implied or stated.

You can easily research the significance of Fela and this LP and the Zombies of the Nigerian dictatorship and we think that you should.

Just in case anybody wondered where myself and Mrs Inside stand on the question of politics in music. This is the sound of colours being firmly nailed to the mast!

Nazi Punks. Nazi Punks. Nazi Punks. Fuck Off!

... and, coincidentally, it's one of THE GREATEST ALBUMS EVER MADE! Of any genre, any time. If you listen to even the first few minutes of this and do not smile and/or dance, proceed immediately to your doctor.

Thanks so much for this and for all the other great music you've introduced me to.
And if possible, i'd love to see more in this vein here

Fela rocks, as does your blog! Your coming out against against real and provo fascists made me like this blog even more than I already did.

"Your coming out against against real and provo fascists made me like this blog even more than I already did."

Indeed.

Hi anonymous people. Thanks for the extra love!

We didn't consider it to be "coming out". We are life-long anti-fascists / anti-racist / anti-discrimination / anti whatever the closed minded knuckle heads hold dear to them! We are nice to animals as well! We were never "in".

We probably supposed that people would assume this given the absence of nazi-noise (real or pretend) on the blog. Whether we should have been explicit is a matter of opinion but, hey, it's said now...

And, Robert...I've spent a few days listening to some of my African / Indian / Pakistani / Haitian etc music and will post it as we go along ...

I just want to echo some of the other commenters and say that I appreciate that you two draw a hard line when it comes to fascist/nazi noise. It's a welcome change from other "nonpolitical" music bloggers.
