Alvin Lucier - Still And Moving Lines Of Silence In Families Of Hyperbolas

Two days ago, Alvin Lucier left us. What we've lost is someone who didn't so much push the boundaries as say that there were none.

Right up there with Pauline Oliveros, John Cage and Éliane Radigue.

A double CD released on the unintentionally understated Lovely Music, Ltd. in 2002.

not hyperbole

Your blog is always very interesting, but I offer great personal thanks for this post. I had the pleasure of working with Alvin Lucier on several occasions, as well as creating my own versions of Still & Moving Lines, I am Sitting..., and Music on a Long, Thin Wire. My time with him and his work was a priceless, life-changing experience. I know this post was somewhat off your general line, and i appreciate it all the more for that reason. I hope all of your readers take the opportunity to discover his incomparable music.

So, thanks again.
