Hirsche Nichts Aufs Sofa - The Book of Dingenskirchen

Another excellent HNAS album with a super-weird history to it. "The Book of Dingenskirchen" was recorded in 1986/1987 and was first released as an LP in 1988... in a precious edition of just 20 copies, each one personalized for the buyer. Yikes. A year later, the record was reissued on clear vinyl of indeterminate (but likely less than 50 copies) pressing size. It remained a hideously rare and expensive collectors' item for years until Christoph Heemann released it as a 27-copies CDR with handmade art on his Streamline label in 1996. As you might image, supply was still nowhere near keeping up with demand. Then in 2002, Achim P. Li Khan reissued it again as a pressed CD on his DOM label with 10 additional bonus tracks tacked on.

Wonderful album - an old favourite - and great to hear this version with all the extra tracks.
