Various ‎- Cataclastic Fracture

A note of caution if your pulse has increased to dangerous levels: this isn't the tape collection. The original version of this CD was a three times C90 boxset that I have never seen for sale or to beg, borrow or steal. It's one of those missing things that hurt. This version features one to two minute snippets of the material on the original tape set and shows how great that set must be. In the absence of the tapes, this will have to do ... perhaps forever.

Jointly released on Deadline Recordings ‎and Lazy Squid in 1994.

hi badgerstump, big bleak bliss fan over here! i have been worshipping sound art and outsider music at the altar of your fantastic blog for about three years, and i never thought to even give you a little feedback or at the very least a token of appreciation! so here i am to give thanks! without your blog, i would likely still be unaware of the immense variety of strange music that the masses have stamped out because it defies expectations--from the ugliest and most anti-musical to the most pristine and utterly holy, and everything in between. so your blogging efforts and those who carry forth the spirit of liberated art have inspired me to seek more excellent music and support the artists by buying their work and of course see some live noise! i'm not sure where i'm going with this, but i just want to say this blog always brightens my day, and humbly extend a thank you.

oh, and you're more than welcome ... it's always great to know that our time and energies are reasonably well spent and that somebody out there is into it ...

ah, happy to hear i made your day! i forgot to mention, i got this on cd and was likewise disappointed by the short track times, but i was unaware that this is really the abridged version of the original. wish i could hear that version...but this is nevertheless a good'n. i seem to remember some time ago richard ramirez announcing a reissue of his split with atrax morgue and a new split with thurston moore. keeping my eyes peeled...
