Kakera - 02.10.03.

My first posts are all from a long-gone label from Nagoya called Pale-Disc, which was run by a guy called Kuwayama Kiyoharu who would go on to make some glorious din under the name Lethe. This EP, published in some tiny edition in 2003, is one of only a couple ever released by Kakera (the other, as yet unheard by me, was a split tape with the great Mo*te). Some versions came with the same material on a lathe-cut 8" record, because... well, doesn't all music sound better on an 8" lathe-cut record? Right. While you discuss/compare/contrast the merits etc of mono clear plastic vs shiny plastic, you can enjoy listening to the full-fidelity CDR version.

Wow. I remember Pale Disk. Amoeba Records in LA would carry some of their stuff, sometimes. WAY expensive. I would just stare at them, wondering what this could be. So thanks a million for these, and I look forward to what the future has to bring from this great blog.
