The Rita - Retrospective

This was originally released as an 8 tape revisit on Dan Johansson's Harsh Head Rituals in 2006.

Thankfully it was rereleased in a DVD-Data format on Jake Vida's Pointless Blank Rec in 2010. I think that I actually bought it from Sam's Lake Shark Harsh Noise label site for $12.

It contains 320 and Wave format versions...if you want it lossless you might still be able to find this at a very convenient price.

Retrospective 1-3

Retrospective 4-5

Retrospective 6-7

Retrospective 8-9

hi, thanks for the stuff, but I can't exrtact it, as it tells me that the archives are damaged, and this happens every time you post things in parts. any idea how it can be done?
thanks

Hey, this is Jake of Pointless Blank Rec who put out the DVD. And I approve of this post. Thanks for the upload and hits you've routed to my site.

hail communist

usually if you compress larger than 200MB, some people have problems and run into the "need a premium account" thing. splitting it into parts of less than 200 keeps it free for people to download.

the parts are never damaged...they are always zip files.

use 7-zip (it's freeware and rather good). select all of the parts together...right click...7-zip..."Extract files"...and they are all extracted to the same folder and in effect, it's all put back together again and you're good to go!

Hi Jake!

I'm glad you approve, that actually means a lot. Thanks for reissuing this in the first place! I never stood a chance with the tape set that Dan put out (don't think I even owned a tape deck at the time) nevermind the original releases.

I was deleriously happy when you put this out! The recreation of the original artwork that comes with it is worth the price of admission on its own...and then you get Wave as well!

I'm hoping that people will go and track down the few that remain!!!

other than unrar unarchiver and 7z (which is apparently too new to run for me) any tips? unarchiver gets thru 3 and 7 minutes of four before saying there is a problem with the last archive file. i doubt this is the case but....

ALSO. the BT.HN retrospective is pretty awesome:) just sayin....:-D

7Z is not the same as 7-Zip. Use 7-Zip exactly as above and everything works fine.

thanks very much. will try to find an old archived version of 7z that will work on older units.

badgerstump 24 August 2013 at 19:32

NO! 7-zip. It's freeware. As in open source free to download software. Or do you come from the future just to confuse me?

Anonymous,  30 August 2013 at 08:27

no no, i come from the past (which i'm sure is the problem) thank you though :)

i've discovered that it works PERFECTLY (easy, breezy, beautiful!) with any version of unarchiver if i just rename the first file to have 001 at the end instead of it being 001.zip thanks again for your time and effort though...i should have tried on my own longer...i knew i was forgetting something.
best to ya!
